Authentic food! I love this restaurant, the food is very tasty and the price is fair for the amount of food.

Delicious, authentic mexican food! Love they have Oaxacan cheese, which was my favorite in my travels throughout Mexico. Good service and selection, although I have to take off one star for lackluster salsa.

My.wife and I are regulars here. The service is always prompt and friendly. My.personal favorite is the Pastor Especial. A carnevores delight. A great combination of roasted meats. This is served with beans, rice and streaming hot flour tortillas. Each visit I try to sample something else on the menu. I have not been disappointed. This is one of those good local eateries that if you did not know about it, you may not stop in. Stop in if you get the chance. Ignore the shocking green paint. You are not there for decorating tips. Concentrate on the really good Mexican food.

Having grown up in California, the bar was high with what is excellent, authentic Mexican food. But the bar was low - very low on expectation. The food blew me away! A-U-T-H-E-N-T-I-C as in, "this tasted like the neighbor's food next door." I was soo glad that I had the special which for today was a huge tamale, huge chili relleno and two large chicken enchiladas, one with their homemade green sauce and other with their homemade red! The entrees were "made to order" so this added to the freshness. Nothing was dry or had that reheated taste. Plus, everything was made from scratch. Trust me on this,as I grew up on a street that was 95% Mexican and my closest friends were from the same area of Mexico that this family is from. There were three different sauces showcased and all three were homemade from scratch. The food is AWESOME! The food was so good - so authentic that as I was eating, I was thinking about old friends and dinners that we has shared on many special occasions. Another side benefit is that the owners are a family. Mom and Dad cook and their two daughters and son. You are literally tasting the "family recipes" of the husband and wife. Because the food is so authentic, I asked about the taste. There were some other comments about lack luster salsa, which I would point out is due to the authenticity. Chips are served with two salsas - one green and one red. Both tasted awesome! Neither are ones that you can buy in the store so remember, you are having authentic, homemade from scratch Mexican food. This is not a chain restaurant. If you are looking for "the real deal," have lived on the West Coast or Southwest, you are going to smile - even shed a tear when you taste the food. Second to none around here...

We visited for the first time last night. I would have given the place four stars if not for it being dirty and having iffy service. When we entered, there were eight tables available but all were dirty. We were told to sit anywhere. After being brought chips, we had to ask them to clean the very visibly dirty table, and then they did a half assed job leaving caked on food on the table. We almost left, but I'm glad we didn't. As vegetarians, the menu was very limited, but what we ordered was good. My boyfriend got cheese enchiladas, which were tasty but the cheese wasn't completely melted. The sauce was very mild. I got a huitlacoche taco which was amazing. The flavor was perfect, it was larger than expected, and it was served with grilled onions. I also got picaditas, which I loved. The guacamole was perfect. We also tried a squash blossom guarache which was pretty good, but not the best I've had. I'm looking forward to going back and hope they get the cleanliness and service issues ironed out.

Best Mexican food we've had in the WC. Service was good. Atmosphere = strip mall. But we go for the food.

Best Mexican in West Chester. Yes it's in a strip mall- but that means parking is easier. It is always clean and the food is muy bueno! My favorite is the tacos, my husband loves anything w chorizo. If you need help w the menu Manny is great w recommendations. Portions are large and left overs are just as good the second day.

My husband and I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago. EVERYTHING was wonderful....the service, the food, the ambiance, etc. Tried the fried cactus...not bad, not good....average. The price was right.....BYOB saves the day again!

My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday evening. I was surprised to find the restaurant so empty. The other review here complained of the cleanliness, but the management must have taken notice, as the place was spotless. The food was absolutely amazing. Really authentic Mexican food. He had the paella, which was out of this world and unexpected in a Mexican restaurant, but more intensely spiced than one would expect. Just delicious. I had the milanesa de res, and it was spectacular. Perfectly prepared. The aguas frescas were delicious too. So refreshing and complementary to the food. Plus the restaurant is a BYOB, which is to me an added bonus. Can't wait to return to Los Sabores de Mexico!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
